We specialize in
handcrafting some of the finest custom turkey box calls available. Our
calls produce excellent hen sounds that are uniquely hand-tuned to
accurately replicate sounds of the wild turkey. In addition to the
superb tonal qualities of our calls, your custom call can be embellished with inlaid mother of pearl, red, green and paua abalone pearl
inlay to musical instrument grade specifications. Inlays are cut
with a jewelers saw blade using our standard patterns and offer custom one
of a kind designs to suit your needs. A Porter Custom Call will not
only be your preferred "weapon" in the field, it will be a cherished
sportsman's heirloom.
So please take some time here to get to
know us and our calls. If you would like to learn more about us, then please
feel free to contact us.
Also, if you are interested in
Gibson Pre-War Mastertone
banjos, aka (The
Great Depression Era), check out my
research and development of their tin bronze/bell
brass tone rings and other pertinent data. There are plenty of
spectrographic analysis results to view in the About Us page
and take a look at the
Banjo Construction
page with a Masterclone type banjo under construction featuring a mother of
pearl cutting and inlaying tutorial
using the Gibson pre-war cutting technique with a few improvements.
NOTE:
GIBSON USA takes a firm
and aggressive stance against all makers of counterfeit instruments and
their distribution channels, therefore I would caution anyone against making
a complete Mastertone aka Masterclone of their instruments, present day and
past using the Gibson
logo on the headstock although the early inlay patterns sans the Gibson logo
are subject to public domain.
