GRAPEFRUIT NOG

INGREDIENTS:

2/3 cup sugar                               2 (1 pt. 2 oz.) cans grapefruit juice
2 large cans evaporated milk    1 quart cracked ice
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Mix sugar and grapefruit juice, stirring until sugar is dissolved.  Pour over cracked ice in a small punch bowl.  Gradually stir in evaporated milk.  Do this very slowly to prevent the milk from curdling.  Sprinkle with nutmeg and ladle into punch cups.

YIELD:  12 servings.
